Oak stair handrail parts

Pictured below are newel posts and a handrail to house a glass banister at the top of a small stone staircase leading to an open plan living area in a high end extension.

These parts were made from premium grade European oak. The handrail is made of two book matched sections glued together for more stability and an interesting grain pattern in the finished product.

The base rail is oversized to cover a few transition difficulties at the junction of the stone stairs and the oak flooring, also allowing an expansion gap for the engineered floor.

The glass is 10mm toughened with grey tint housed in grooves within the handrail and base rail.
