Workshop, worktops and refinishing

July and august have been busy months. During July I spent a few days working for a friend taking part in a channel 4 tv programme, he asked me to for some oak worktops for him in a particularly tricky house that had no straight or square walls.

I moved house at the end of July, getting the keys to a new house in Chard.

August began with pick up keys to a new workshop, giving myself and my co-tenants on the lease space to expand our shared workshop. The workshop build will take time to get completed but I am currently taking on new business for doors, windows and furniture.

Finally I’ve been out of the workshop through August working on site for a long term customer, refurbishing an oak front door that they had installed around 7 years ago that has taken a lot of weather as it’s a very exposed location. I’ve also been carrying out routine maintenance work on an oak conservatory that was installed around 3 years ago, cleaning it up and preparing for a refresh coat of oil.
